The artificial intelligence boom happened not so long ago, but many of us have become so accustomed to neuro-tools in our daily work that we don't even realize what a powerful technology they have in their hands. Writers are no exception. Some people give their texts to neural networks for proofreading, others use them to create references for their projects. In this article we will tell you how STARC AI will be useful for writers.
If you don't already have the Story Architect app or downloaded it a second ago, read the instructions on how to install it, as well as how to log in to your personal account.
To activate STARC AI, you need to purchase tokens to work with it. How to do it - read here. To get started, open the desired project or create a new one, then click on the magic wand icon on the top panel.
A menu with the following AI Assistant functions will open on the right:
• Paraphrase
• ︎Expand
• Shorten
• Insert
• Summarize
• Translate
• Generate synopsis
• Generate novel
• Generate
Choosing any of the first 6 items, you just need to paste the text fragment you want to revise and the neural network will generate a new result in the same window.
The synopsis generation function offers three options - short (20 words per scene), medium (45 words per scene), and unlimited. The AI will process all the text that is in the open project and make a synopsis framework from it, which can be further modified to the state you need.
The novel generation function also works with the entire text of the project. The AI analyzes the script and transfers it into the novel format, replacing character lines in the center of the page with book dialogues, etc. The generated text in novel format will be added to your project and can be found in the panel on the left under "Novel" (and we can also generate a screenplay from the novel as well).
Finally, if you select "Generate" in the panel with AI Assistant functions, the program will ask you to enter a prompt. After generating the text, the AI will put it where you specify.
All these tools are available in all text modules of all formats available in STARC. Another AI feature you'll find in the character profile. When selecting "Generate" in the panel on the right, you need to enter a character description and mark the sections that the neural network has to fill in. After that, you'll get a ready-made profile that can be adjusted to suit your idea.
Finally, the AI-assistant will be useful when accelerating ideas in the block of creating mental maps. All the same functions are available here - you can ask the AI to rephrase or expand your idea, or you can turn to it to generate something from scratch and then edit or rewrite it to suit your needs.
Thus, STARC AI will relieve you of the fear of a blank sheet, save you time on routine work, and perhaps suggest additional ideas for your project.
