We have prepared Story Architect for Android update 0.1.1! It fixes bugs and improves the user experience on mobile devices
Text layout on the screen
The main tweak that made it into the new version is the improvement of the display of text on the screen.
Now, if there is enough space on your device's screen, the script format will follow the standard template, with proper indentation around all blocks of text.
If there is not enough space, the template will adjust to continue to be similar to the script format, but still make efficient use of your device's screen space.
Updated editor toolbar
The editor toolbar has undergone a major redesign.
Now it will be much more convenient for you to choose the desired text format on the screen. Each format has its own icon, which you can click to change the format of the text block.
Additional tools, such as repeat/cancel last action (and in the future formatting and reviewing), are behind the three dots at the end of the toolbar.
Other improvements
We also worked on fixing the bugs you found while working with the first version. For what we would like to thank you very much! Let's keep it that way, and improve the quality of our products with every release!
The following have been fixed/improved in this update:
- app translations in German, Dutch, Slovenian and Telugu is added;
- the system back button resets the selection mode of items in the navigation list;
- character and location description fields are unified between the PC and mobile versions;
- the “detailed description” field is added to character and location profiles;
- text fields in character and location profiles are now expanded if they contain a lot of text;
- the auxiliary panel with lists of locations/characters/etc. is now semi-transparent so that the context is not lost and the next script text is visible;
- a problem with text formats dropping when expanding selected text is fixed;
- a problem with text format dropping when moving the cursor to a new line when moving between different blocks is fixed;
- a problem with the case of the first character of a remark is fixed;
- a problem with moving a remark bracket when moving to the next paragraph is fixed;
- a problem with closing the menu bar when exiting the current project is fixed.
