The day has come! Today, the Story Architect version for iOS and iPadOS is finally here!
Hooray!!!
Another major milestone in the life of our project has been reached, my friends. I want to thank you all for your questions and patience. All of this confirms that we are moving in the right direction, meeting your expectations and needs as our beloved users.

What's Inside
The first version of STARC for iOS currently offers only the most basic features, including:
- Working with projects
- Managing project structure
- Basic profiles for characters and locations
- Working with screenplay, novel, and text document modules
- Navigating through screenplay, novel, and simple text documents
- Basic statistics for scripts and novels
- Importing projects from external storage
- Saving projects to external storage
- Exporting scripts and novels
Keep in mind that this is essentially the first version. To release the app as quickly as possible, we included only the core features. Moving forward, with each new release, we will continue adding more and more functionality, until the mobile version becomes fully self-sufficient and on par with its desktop counterpart.
Android Version Update
Alongside the iOS release, we have also updated the Android version, which now includes the following improvements:
- Added the ability to export novels
- Added a "Dreamcast" field to character profiles
- Fixed an issue with importing character and location descriptions containing special symbols
- Fixed a problem with displaying statistics in some cases
- Optimized app loading performance
- Improved dark mode
From now on, both iOS and Android versions will be developed in parallel, maintaining feature parity.
What's Next
The next major step in the mobile version’s development will be the integration of a cloud service.
This will happen in three stages:
1. First, we will implement user account login, access to account details, subscriptions, sessions, and related information.
2. Then, we will expand the character and location profile modules to support extended profile.
3. Finally, we will introduce project synchronization and real-time collaboration.
Essentially, this is our roadmap for all of 2025! :)
And looking even further ahead, we plan to refine all major modules and add features that are currently missing from the mobile app.
