Writers know better than anyone that the devil is in the details. To get a better look at the details in your text, you need to temporarily cut away the unnecessary. The structure items isolation mode can help with this.

If you don't already have the Story Architect app or downloaded it a second ago, read the instructions on how to install it, as well as how to log in to your personal account.

Isolation is available in any type of project. In this article, let's look at how this feature works using a script example. All you need to do is to open the project text and find an icon with corner marks and a circle in the center on the top panel. When you click on it, only the scene in which the cursor is currently set will remain on the working field, and all the others will be hidden.

You can switch between scenes (chapters, pages, etc.) using the navigation in the left panel. Click on the arrow next to the "Screenplay" section to go to the text structure.

Next, simply select the desired scene so that it is isolated on the workspace.

In isolation mode, you can edit individual pieces of text without being distracted by what comes before and after them. This is a useful tool for more thoughtful detailing, proofreading, and working with the structure of a particular scene or chapter.
